Vehicle Crash on Eastbound Lanes Results in Fire, Tree Collision
A vehicle crashed into a tree and subsequently caught fire on the eastbound lanes of Highway 101 near Main Street around 4:15 p.m. today.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident involved one vehicle that veered off the roadway. Emergency services, including the Fire Department and paramedic units, responded promptly to extinguish the fire and assess any injuries.
Authorities reported that one individual sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No fatalities have been confirmed at this time.
Eastbound lanes of Highway 101 were temporarily closed for emergency response and investigation, leading to significant traffic delays. Towing services were called to remove the vehicle from the scene.
