Fatal Crash on I-15 in North Las Vegas Claims One Life
NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (KSNV) — A fatal accident involving a dark blue 2010 Ford F150 pickup occurred on northbound Interstate 15, north of the Craig Road on-ramp, on September 1 at approximately 9:35 p.m.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the driver failed to maintain the travel lane, resulting in the vehicle rotating clockwise. The truck then veered into the outside shoulder, striking a concrete barrier with its right front before continuing along the barrier wall. It ultimately came to rest upright in the rock landscape, facing southeast.
The driver, identified as 48-year-old Hugo Cesar Arrieta Lujan from North Las Vegas, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol’s Major Incident Reconstruction Team is currently investigating the incident.
So far in 2025, the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Southern Command has reported 42 fatal crashes, resulting in 43 fatalities.
