Fatal Crash in Sauk County Claims One Life
Sauk County, Wis. (WKOW) — A fatal car crash involving four vehicles occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. Monday on Highway 33 near Man Mound Rd. in Greenfield Township.
Authorities said a sedan traveling eastbound crossed the center line, prompting one vehicle to swerve and collide with another heading westbound. The sedan then struck a third westbound vehicle.
First responders from Baraboo Fire and EMS arrived at the scene to provide medical aid. One driver was transported by UW-Mad Flight to a hospital in Madison, while three other occupants were taken by ambulance for treatment.
The driver of the sedan, a 31-year-old man from the Portage area, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released.
The Sauk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident. Additional details, including potential lane closures and towing operations, were not immediately available.
