MAYSVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — A crash on KY 10 Friday evening resulted in one fatality and four injuries, according to Kentucky State Police.
The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. near the 4000 block of KY 10. Authorities reported that 62-year-old Brian Heron of Maysville was attempting to push his disabled red Chevrolet Corvette off the roadway when he was struck by a black Chevrolet Trailblazer. The Trailblazer was occupied by a driver and two passengers.
Following the collision with Heron, the Trailblazer continued forward and impacted a black Toyota Camry, which had one occupant. The driver and one passenger from the Trailblazer, along with the Camry driver, were transported to Meadowview Hospital by Mason County EMS and are currently listed in stable condition. One passenger from the Trailblazer was airlifted to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
The Mason County Coroner pronounced Heron dead at the scene. Kentucky State Police are actively investigating the incident, and further information is forthcoming as authorities continue their inquiry.
