Fatal crash leads to charges for two drivers involved.

Two drivers face charges following a fatal crash on Donelson Pike on April 18 that claimed the life of a 56-year-old La Vergne woman.

Nashville Police reported that Curt Scott, 47, has been charged with vehicular homicide by reckless conduct and aggravated assault. He turned himself in on Thursday. An arrest warrant for has been issued for 42-year-old Derrius Sanders.

At the time of the crash, Sanders was driving a Mercury Mystique with passenger Kimberly Odell when he turned left at a yellow light in front of Scott's Chevrolet Silverado, which was traveling 54 mph in a 35 mph zone, according to authorities.

The collision occurred at the Interstate 40 East entrance ramp. Odell was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Both Scott and Sanders were not wearing seatbelts and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
