One person killed in early morning crash involving a garbage truck on Westwood Northern Boulevard.
The incident occurred shortly after 5 a.m. in the 3000 block of Westwood Northern Boulevard near Wardell Avenue, according to Assistant Fire Chief Matt Flagler. The crash took place at the entrance to Airy View Apartments, located near the Doris Day Dog Park.
Authorities confirmed that Westwood Northern Boulevard will remain closed between Wardell and Bourdinot avenues for most of the morning.
The Cincinnati Police Department Traffic Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
