Crash in Town of Vienna Claims One Life, Leaves Another Seriously Injured
TOWN OF VIENNA, Wis. (WKOW) — One person died and another sustained serious injuries in a crash Monday at approximately 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of County Highway I and Cuba Valley Road.
According to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, a westbound vehicle on Cuba Valley Road failed to stop at a stop sign and was struck by a northbound car on County Highway I. The driver of the westbound vehicle, a 63-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been disclosed while family members are being notified.
The other driver, a 60-year-old male, was transported to the hospital by Med Flight with serious injuries.
Authorities closed the road for approximately four hours to conduct their investigation, which has since concluded, and the roadway has reopened.
