A Carrollton woman died in a single-vehicle crash on Aug. 20 in Pickens County.
Cynthia D. Wright, 60, was driving a 2021 Chevrolet Equinox when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree, according to authorities. The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. on Alabama Highway 86, near the 21-mile marker, approximately five miles west of Gordo.
Wright was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers reported.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the incident. No further details are available at this time.
