Ponchatoula Three-Car Crash Injures Eight, Including Three Children

PONCHATOULA, La. — A three-car crash on Highway 51 North injuring eight people, including three children ages 2, 5, and 7, is under investigation, according to the Ponchatoula Police Department.

The collision occurred around 6:27 p.m. on September 22, involving a 2015 Chevy Silverado, a 2014 GMC Terrain, and a 2024 Hyundai Tucson. Emergency responders transported the injured to North Oaks Medical Center, Lakeview Hospital, and Our Lady of the Lake-Children’s Hospital. One child was airlifted for medical care.

The identities of the passengers remain undisclosed. Authorities collected blood samples from two of the drivers for analysis.
