HANOVER, Ind. — Dorothy Snell, 25, faces eight charges following a drunk driving crash that resulted in the death of her 6-year-old daughter on May 13 in Scott County.
The incident occurred around 8:45 p.m. at the intersection of State Road 256 and U.S. Highway 31 when Snell allegedly disregarded a red light, colliding with another vehicle. Her daughter was taken to a nearby hospital but later died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Snell was arrested on Wednesday and taken to Scott County Jail. Other passengers in the vehicle, including a 2-year-old, and individuals in the other vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
