Man Missing in Piscataquis County Found Trapped in Vehicle
A man reported missing early Saturday in Piscataquis County was located trapped in a vehicle off Route 15.
According to the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office, dispatchers received a report of a missing person at approximately 1:30 a.m. The man was last seen leaving Greenville Junction at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, heading north.
Deputy Kyle Wilson searched Route 15 toward the county line. At around 2:45 a.m., he discovered the vehicle crashed a distance from the road, with no visible signs of an accident. The driver remained inside the vehicle.
The Greenville Fire Department and Northern Light C.A. Dean Ambulance responded to the scene. The driver, who had been trapped for approximately six hours, was extricated and transported to a hospital for treatment.
The Sheriff’s Office reported that speed was a contributing factor in the crash.
