NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Nashville family mourns the loss of Raquel Lorena Sarabia, 37, following a crash on Bell Road on August 10, allegedly caused by an impaired driver. Her partner, Marco Antonio Baez Del Angel, remains in critical condition in the hospital.

Metro Police report that Julio Ceasar Herrera Gonzalez, 36, was driving a Maserati SQ4 when he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with Sarabia and Del Angel's vehicle. Gonzalez, driving without a license, displayed signs of impairment at the hospital. He faces multiple charges, including vehicular homicide and .

According to authorities, Gonzalez's Temporary Protected Status was revoked years ago, prompting ICE to place an arrest detainer on him. Despite his immigration status, the family emphasizes accountability for his actions, stating, “You can still have a bad soul and make bad decisions.”

The family is focused on justice and Del Angel's recovery, urging others to recognize the dangers of impaired driving. A GoFundMe page has been established to assist with medical expenses during this challenging time.
