BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A driver suspected of fleeing after a fatal crash was arrested by police hours later on Sunday.
Authorities responded to a collision at the intersection of Renton Road and Watkins Road early Sunday morning, where a 36-year-old man was found injured after being struck by a vehicle. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The vehicle involved in the incident remained at the crash site, but the driver was not present. Later that afternoon, police located and apprehended a 29-year-old man on suspicion of causing the fatal crash.
The identities of both the deceased and the suspected driver have not been released. The incident is under active investigation by the police.
