Critical Crash in Meriden Leaves One Woman Injured

A woman is in critical condition following a head-on collision in Meriden on Friday night.

The accident occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Research Parkway and Pond View Drive. According to authorities, a car traveling northbound on Research Parkway crossed the center line and collided with a minivan heading in the opposite direction.

The vehicle then veered off the roadway and rolled over. Emergency responders extricated the female driver of the car, who was subsequently transported to the hospital and is currently listed in critical condition.

The driver of the minivan suffered significant injuries but was able to respond to questions, as noted by police.
