Crash leads to negligent homicide charge for driver Sullivan.

KALISPELL, Mont. — Andrew Glenn Sullivan, 20, pleaded not guilty to a felony count of negligent homicide in Flathead County District Court on Thursday.

According to court documents, Sullivan was involved in a crash on Aug. 23 at the intersection of Mountain Meadow Road and Tally Lake Road while driving a gray Dodge Ram with three passengers. A Trooper reported finding the vehicle in the embankment with deployed airbags and significant passenger-side damage.

Upon arrival, the Trooper observed the body of a 17-year-old girl on the ground. Sullivan stated that the girl fainted in the backseat, distracting him from the road. He also mentioned a male passenger was panicking, further diverting his attention.

Sullivan denied and using drugs or alcohol. However, the Trooper noted empty alcohol containers and a jar of marijuana inside the vehicle, along with a bottle of vodka in the backseat. Evidence indicated that the girl was partially outside the vehicle prior to the crash and sustained severe injuries.

A preliminary breath test administered to Sullivan resulted in a blood alcohol level of 0.057. He was transported to Logan Health for further testing. Sullivan had a previous citation in May, for which he pleaded guilty, and was sentenced on Aug. 18. He was also cited for leaving the scene of an accident in June.

Sullivan's pre-trial hearing is scheduled for January 2026, with a jury trial set to commence in March.
