Crash kills Bronx woman in Delaware after truck fails to yield

Prayer vigil held for conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Delaware

A prayer vigil took place on September 14, 2025, at Georgetown Circle to honor the memory of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

On September 15, a 49-year-old woman from the Bronx, New York, died in a two-car crash on Route 113 in Georgetown. Authorities said she was driving a Nissan Altima southbound when a Mack Anthem truck making a left turn onto Redden Road failed to yield at a posted sign and turned into her path around 12:30 p.m.

The Altima collided with the right side of the trailer. The woman, who was wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity will be released after family notification.

The truck driver, a 76-year-old man from Cambridge, Maryland, was also wearing a seatbelt and reported no injuries.
