Bridgeville Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on Wilson Farm Road
A 27-year-old man from Bridgeville was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning on Wilson Farm Road, around 5 a.m.
According to Delaware State Police, the man was driving a Buick Century at a high rate of speed when he approached Cannon Road. Preliminary investigations revealed that he failed to stop at a stop sign, veered off the east side of the road, then returned to the roadway before rotating and exiting onto the west side, where he struck a concrete barrier and overturned. Authorities stated he was not properly restrained and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency responders closed Wilson Farm Road, Conrail Road, and Cannon Road for approximately three and a half hours as they investigated the incident. The investigation remains ongoing, and Delaware State Police are urging anyone with information to contact them or Delaware Crime Stoppers.
