Traffic Incident on Club Road Involves Police Vehicles
EUGENE, Ore. — A vehicle crashed into three police patrol cars around 3:05 p.m. on Nov. 14, causing significant traffic delays near Club Road.
According to Eugene Police, the collision occurred during heavy traffic related to the Oregon Ducks football game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers, which is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m. at Autzen Stadium. Authorities reported that several individuals have been detained in connection with the incident.
At approximately 3:45 p.m., one police vehicle was observed near McMenamins North Bank restaurant on Club Road. The car sustained a large dent on the driver’s side, and its airbags had deployed, indicating a severe impact. Witnesses reported that the vehicle was pushed onto the sidewalk as a result of the crash.
As of 4 p.m., traffic was moving in both directions, but congestion in the area remained heavy. Eugene Police are investigating the incident.
