MANCHESTER, N.H. — Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani reported “excruciating” pain after being involved in a traffic crash on Interstate 93 over the weekend.
Giuliani and his driver, Ted Goodman, were rear-ended while they were assisting a woman flagging them down for help. The incident occurred Saturday night after attending a New Hampshire Fisher Cats baseball game. According to authorities, Giuliani called 911 prior to the crash and remained on the scene to give a statement to New Hampshire State Police.
“The sound was unreal, the whiplash of my body brutal,” Giuliani stated regarding the collision. He was seen on his YouTube show wearing a brace after treatment for a serious back injury.
Emergency medical services transported Giuliani to Elliot Hospital, where he expressed appreciation for the doctors and nurses. As of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the crash, and the other driver was not linked to the earlier domestic violence incident.
Authorities confirmed that they are reviewing the circumstances surrounding the collision.
