Coker Juvenile Killed in Tuscaloosa County Crash

A 12-year-old passenger from Coker died in a two-vehicle crash on June 8 in Tuscaloosa County.

The incident occurred around 4:45 p.m. on Romulus Road near Libby Road, approximately eight miles west of Northport. The Chevrolet Colorado, carrying the victim, was struck by a Ford F-150 driven by a 16-year-old from Northport.

Authorities said the 12-year-old was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford F-150 sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Zosima M. Andabalo, 36, the driver of the Chevrolet, was also injured and taken to DCH Regional Medical Center.

Two additional passengers in the Chevrolet, aged 14 and 5, were reported injured and transported for medical treatment.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the crash. No further details have been released.
