MADISON (WKOW) — A Sun Prairie man was acquitted in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred on March 15, 2024, in Madison.
William Del Pozo, 44, was found not guilty of felony charges after approximately two hours of deliberation by a Dane County jury. The trial lasted a day and a half.
The crash involved Joseph Solomon, 35, who was struck at the intersection of Lien Road and Parkside Drive. Authorities reported that Solomon died due to injuries sustained in the incident.
Del Pozo was accused of fleeing the scene. The case raised significant community concern about traffic safety for bicyclists.
