Driver crashes during police pursuit, arrested for multiple charges.

PITTSFIELD, N.H. — A 24-year-old man was arrested after a police pursuit ended in a crash around 2:15 a.m. Saturday.

According to New Hampshire State Police, officers attempted to stop Travis Lufkin of Concord for misuse of license plates. After fleeing from Concord police, Lufkin was pursued when state troopers located his maroon 2006 Chevrolet Equinox.

The pursuit continued onto Interstate 393 eastbound and Route 9 in Chichester, where Lufkin ran a red light, sped, and ignored multiple stop signs. The chase proceeded northbound on Route 28, concluding when Lufkin crashed into a tree on Dowboro Road.

Lufkin initially fled into the woods but returned to the scene and was arrested. He now faces multiple charges, including felony possession of a controlled drug and aggravated .

He is being held on preventive detention pending arraignment on Tuesday in Concord District Court. A female passenger was transported to Concord Hospital with minor injuries, while Lufkin and responding officers were unharmed.

Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Pittsfield Police and Fire Departments.
