Two injured in four-car crash on Highway 52 in Miller County Thursday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the collision occurred at 10:35 a.m. on Highway 52, east of Admire Road. The vehicles involved were a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, a 2016 Ford F-550, a 2017 Nissan Altima, and a 2024 Genesis GV70.
MSHP reported that the drivers of the Chevrolet, Genesis, and Nissan were stopped in traffic, awaiting a vehicle to turn. The Ford driver lost control, striking the rear of the Chevrolet. This impact caused the Chevrolet to hit the Genesis, which subsequently struck the Nissan.
The Genesis driver, a 67-year-old man from Centerville, Iowa, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance. The Chevrolet driver, a 69-year-old man from Stover, Missouri, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital.
No other injuries were reported. MSHP noted that the Iowa man was wearing a seat belt, while the Stover man was not. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the incident.
