Clarksville Man Charged in Fatal Interstate 24 Crash
NASHVILLE, TN—A 30-year-old Clarksville man has been charged in connection with a crash on April 9 that resulted in the death of a relative on Interstate 24.
Authorities said Inderjit Singh faces one count of vehicular homicide. He was reportedly driving a Nissan Altima at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour when he collided with a tractor-trailer that was attempting to merge back into traffic.
The impact caused Singh’s vehicle to overturn and roll into a tree line. His passenger, Pritam “Peter” Singh, 42, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 19-year-old passenger in the Altima and Inderjit Singh sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to Skyline Medical Center.
In addition to the vehicular homicide charge, Singh is also charged with three counts of reckless endangerment and for operating a vehicle without a license. He is currently being held on a $58,000 bond.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with authorities working to gather further details. No additional information on road conditions or lane closures has been provided.
