MADISON (WKOW) – Two individuals died in a crash on Commercial Avenue during a vehicle test drive on September 12, according to the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The victims have been identified as Suzanne Hayes, 64, of Poplar Grove, IL, and Daniel Fay, 65, of McFarland. Preliminary examinations confirm both suffered fatal injuries from the collision.
Authorities reported that the crash occurred when an SUV attempted to turn into a parking lot and was struck by the test drive vehicle. The Madison Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
No additional details regarding lane closures or the vehicle conditions have been released. Emergency responders were on scene, and the investigation is ongoing.
