LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 71 has resulted in lane blockages, authorities confirmed.
The incident occurred just before 3 p.m. on Monday, impacting southbound traffic near the Gene Snyder Freeway/I-265, according to WLKY and TRIMARC updates. Live traffic cameras revealed a car in the grassy median, while at least one vehicle involved rolled over.
Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) reported that three vehicles were involved in the crash. At least one individual sustained minor injuries. Emergency crews responded to the scene, coordinating cleanup efforts.
Authorities indicated it would take some time to clear the wreckage and reopen the affected lanes.
UPDATE: The road has since reopened.
