Giuliani Injured in Serious Car Crash, Recovers at Memorial Event

Giuliani Appears at 9/11 Memorial Following Car Crash

NEW YORK (TNND) — Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani attended the 9/11 memorial event on Thursday, just weeks after sustaining injuries in a car crash.

Video footage from the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum shows Giuliani in a wheelchair, wearing a chest brace, and standing with his hand over his heart during part of the ceremony. This event marked his first public appearance since the crash, which occurred on August 30.

According to New Hampshire State Police, Giuliani was a passenger in a rental Ford Bronco driven by spokesman Ted Goodman when they were rear-ended by a Honda HR-V driven by a 19-year-old woman. Authorities reported that both Goodman and the young driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to hospitals.

Michael Ragusa, head of Giuliani’s security team, stated that the crash followed Giuliani assisting a domestic violence victim. Ragusa confirmed Giuliani was recovering well and requested respect for his privacy amid unfounded conspiracy theories about the incident.

Giuliani’s son, Andrew, expressed gratitude for public well-wishes on social media, stating, “Your prayers mean the world.” The 81-year-old Giuliani described his post-accident pain as unprecedented but emphasized his gratitude: “God was very, very good to us.”

Former President Donald Trump announced he plans to award Giuliani the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.
