Injuries reported in Giuliani’s serious car crash in New Hampshire

NEW YORK (TNND) — Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani attended a 9/11 memorial event on Thursday morning, just weeks after sustaining injuries in a car crash.

At the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York City, Giuliani was seen in a wheelchair wearing a chest brace. Despite his condition, he stood during part of the service with his hand over his heart.

This event marked Giuliani’s first public appearance since the crash in New Hampshire on August 30. According to New Hampshire State Police, Giuliani was a passenger in a rented Ford Bronco driven by his spokesperson, Ted Goodman, when their vehicle was rear-ended by a Honda HR-V driven by a 19-year-old woman. Neither Giuliani nor Goodman suffered life-threatening injuries and both were transported to hospitals for treatment.

Michael Ragusa, leader of Giuliani’s security team, stated the crash occurred after Giuliani assisted a domestic violence victim. He noted Giuliani is recovering well, urging respect for the former mayor’s privacy.

Andrew Giuliani expressed gratitude for the public’s well wishes, stating that prayers meant a lot.

The 81-year-old Giuliani reported experiencing significant pain after the accident but remained optimistic, saying, “God was very, very good to us.”

President Donald Trump announced plans to award Giuliani the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation’s highest civilian honor.
