Driver Dies After Crash on M-6 in Kent County

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — A 63-year-old Grand Rapids man died from injuries sustained in a crash on M-6 east of Cascade Township on Wednesday evening, August 27.

According to the Michigan State Police Grand Rapids Post, the incident occurred near 5:40 PM when the driver, traveling westbound, left the roadway and collided with a pole. Another driver witnessed the crash and pulled the victim from the burning vehicle.

The injured man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the crash.
