ATV crash leaves man hospitalized in Rockford, stable condition.

ROCKFORD — A 39-year-old man is in stable condition after an collided with a semi-trailer on Sept. 4.

Around 7:00 p.m., Rockford Police Department officers responded to the intersection of 22nd St. and Laude Dr. The man, who was driving the , sustained life-threatening injuries.

Chief Carla Redd reiterated that ATVs and similar off-road vehicles are not allowed on city streets. “These vehicles are not designed for roadway travel, and operating them in traffic creates significant risks for riders, motorists, and pedestrians,” Redd stated.

The man was confirmed to be in stable condition by 9:00 p.m. Thursday.
