Motorcyclist Killed in Aurora Crash During Race
A motorcyclist died Wednesday night after crashing into a car during a race on eastbound 38th Avenue, police said.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. in the 19500 block when two motorcycles were racing. One motorcycle collided with a Kia Seltos SUV making a legal U-turn, according to the Aurora Police Department.
The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and succumbed to injuries before emergency responders arrived, officials reported. The second motorcyclist narrowly avoided the crash, returned briefly to the scene, and then left.
No other injuries have been reported, and the identity of the deceased will be confirmed by the Adams County Coroner's Office at a later date.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional details were available as of Thursday, authorities said.
