65-Year-Old Woman Killed in McLeod County Crash

Lede: A 65-year-old woman was killed in a vehicle collision in McLeod County on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred when a Pontiac Sunfire, driven east on Highway 7, collided with a Ford F350 traveling south on County Road 2.

The driver of the Sunfire, 67-year-old Ardith Marlene Turvander, was killed; authorities confirmed she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

A 28-year-old man driving the pickup sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Emergency services responded to the scene, and an investigation is ongoing.
