Millsboro Man Charged with DUI, Drug Offenses Following Long Neck Crash Injuring Three Children
A Millsboro man was charged with driving under the influence and drug-related offenses after a crash in Long Neck on Saturday afternoon that injured three children.
The incident occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m. on Coastal Highway near Piney Neck Road. A passenger vehicle and a pickup truck collided, resulting in injuries to three children aged 5, 8, and 12. All were transported to local hospitals for treatment, though their conditions remain unclear.
Delaware State Police responded to the scene, conducting an investigation which revealed that the driver of the passenger vehicle, identified as a 33-year-old Millsboro resident, exhibited signs of impairment. He was arrested on-site and later charged with multiple DUI-related offenses and possession of illegal substances.
Authorities reported that the crash caused temporary lane closures while the scene was processed and the vehicles were towed.
