MONTICELLO, Ky. (LEX 18) — A single-vehicle crash on Highway 167 sent one person to the hospital on Friday morning.
According to the Monticello Fire Department, the incident occurred at 10:01 a.m. near Brown Street. Firefighters discovered a vehicle that had left the roadway and ended up in Elk Spring Creek upon their arrival.
Wayne County EMS transported the occupant to the hospital; their injuries are not yet known. After removing the truck from the creek, firefighters utilized absorbent pads to address environmental concerns related to oil contamination from the crash.
