One person died in a crash on Trafton Road in Waterville early Monday morning.
According to the Waterville Police Department, first responders were called to the scene at approximately 4:30 a.m. The driver of a black Jeep Renegade was traveling west on Trafton Road when they lost control and left the roadway, as confirmed by Maj. Jason Longley.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, is not yet identified. Their body has been sent to the Maine Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.
It remains unclear if other vehicles were involved in the incident, and the circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
