Deadly Crash on I-10 in Slidell Claims Life of Alabama Woman
SLIDELL, La. — A crash on Interstate 10 early Saturday morning resulted in the death of Brittany Rawson, 37, from Elberta, Alabama.
According to the Louisiana State Police, Rawson was traveling in a BMW driven by Andre Fontana, 42, when they collided with a tractor-trailer near Gause Boulevard. Rawson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Following the crash, Rawson was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries. Fontana also sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized. The driver of the Freightliner was wearing his seatbelt and reported no injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending, according to authorities.
