Westbrook Woman in Critical Condition After Crash

WESTBROOK, ME – Kylie Langella, 22, remains in critical condition at Maine Medical Center following a crash on Friday, December 1, 2018.

According to the Westbrook Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Brighton Avenue. Langella was driving a 2015 Honda Civic when the vehicle collided with a 2010 Ford F-150, operated by a 34-year-old male, heading in the opposite direction.

Emergency responders from the Westbrook Fire Department and the local ambulance service arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. Langella sustained serious injuries and was transported to Maine Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the Ford F-150 suffered minor injuries but was treated at the scene and refused further medical attention.

Authorities closed Brighton Avenue in both directions for approximately two hours while the scene was investigated, and the vehicles were towed. As of now, the investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, with no charges filed yet.

Witnesses reported heavy traffic in the area at the time of the incident. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
