Lisbon Man Dies After Motorcycle Crash in Turner
A Lisbon man succumbed to injuries following a motorcycle crash in Turner on Friday afternoon.
William Brooks, 65, was riding a custom 2008 Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Route 4, also known as Auburn Road, when he went off the roadway at approximately 3:49 p.m. According to the Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office, he struck an embankment and was ejected from the bike.
Brooks was not wearing a helmet and sustained serious injuries in the incident. Emergency personnel transported him to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where he later died from his injuries.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation, and authorities have not disclosed any further details regarding potential contributing factors.
