Lowe High Students Experience Mock Impaired Driving Crash
Lowell High School students witnessed a mock impaired driving crash on August 21 to emphasize the dangers of distracted driving.
In a separate incident, a motorcyclist died following a single-vehicle crash in the 39100 block of Upper Camp Creek Road near Walterville around 6 p.m. The motorcyclist, identified as William Sean Yoder, 57, was riding a 2006 Suzuki SV650 when he failed to negotiate a turn and collided with a guardrail, according to the Lane County Sheriff's Office.
Yoder, the only occupant of the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities reported no other vehicles were involved, and the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
