Motorcyclist Dies After Deer Collision in Dexter
DEXTER, ME — A 63-year-old woman died Saturday night after her motorcycle struck a deer on Route 7, according to Dexter Police Chief Kevin Wintle.
The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m., resulting in serious injuries for the motorcyclist. She was transported by LifeFlight to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, where she was initially reported in critical condition before succumbing to her injuries.
Authorities have not released her name pending notification of family members. The crash remains under investigation, and no further details have been disclosed about the circumstances surrounding the collision.
Emergency responders were on the scene to assist, but no additional vehicles were involved in the incident. There were no reported lane closures following the crash.
