Motorcyclist Killed in Wyoming Crash Involving Suspected Drunk Driver
WYOMING, Mich. — A motorcyclist died following a collision with a suspected drunk driver early Friday morning, August 15, at approximately 12:19 a.m.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Eastern Avenue and 32nd Street. Authorities reported that the motorcyclist was traveling south when a sedan, making a left turn, collided with the motorcycle.
The 45-year-old man from Grand Rapids was pronounced dead at the hospital. The 50-year-old female driver of the sedan sustained minor injuries and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, according to the Wyoming Department of Public Safety.
The crash report will be forwarded to the Kent County Prosecutor's Office for consideration of charges, as noted in a statement from Public Safety officials.
