Two killed in high-speed motorcycle crash in Aurora.

AURORA, Colo. — A high-speed collision between a Suzuki and an Acura SUV on E. Arapahoe Road resulted in two fatalities on Friday afternoon.

Authorities reported that the crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of E. Arapahoe Road and E. Peakview Drive. The 18-year-old motorcyclist, operating the bike eastbound, collided with the westbound SUV making a left turn onto E. Temple Court.

The collision resulted in the death of both the motorcyclist and his 17-year-old passenger at the scene. The driver of the SUV, the only occupant, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.

The Aurora Police Department's Traffic Investigations Unit responded, closing the intersection for several hours before reopening it around 9:43 p.m. The identities of the victims have not been released, though one is believed to have attended Grandview High School.

It remains unclear if any citations were issued in connection with the crash.
