TUSCOLA — A semi-truck crash occurred on Interstate 57 north of Tuscola shortly after 8 p.m. on Monday.
According to Sgt. J. Tom Lillard, the truck tractor semi-trailer came to rest in the center median at milepost 215, approximately four miles north of Tuscola. Crews are currently working to remove the vehicle from the median.
While this operation was underway, the passing lane of northbound I-57 was temporarily closed; however, the driving lane remained open. Both lanes were reopened at 9:42 p.m.
Authorities advise motorists to exercise caution when traveling through the area. No injuries or fatalities have been reported at this time.
