MALHEUR COUNTY, Ore. — A two-vehicle crash on Highway 95 resulted in one death early Thursday morning.
According to the Oregon State Police, the incident occurred around 8 a.m. near milepost 47. A northbound Subaru Legacy, driven by 48-year-old Barry Thomas Hostler of Truckee, Calif., collided with the rear of a northbound Case International 7220 tractor operated by 67-year-old Jesse Dean White of Jordan Valley, who was traveling at slow speed.
Hostler was pronounced dead at the scene. White reportedly sustained no injuries in the crash.
The highway was closed for approximately three hours as law enforcement conducted their investigation.
The Oregon State Police received assistance from the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office and the Oregon Department of Transportation during the response and investigation.
