Motorcyclist Dies in Collision with SUV in Nashville

A 44-year-old motorcyclist died Saturday night after a collision with an SUV on Gallatin Pike in Nashville around 10:15 p.m.

Joshua Parsons was riding his Kawasaki Ninja northbound on Gallatin Pike when he collided with a Honda Pilot that was turning left onto the roadway near Twin Hills Drive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to investigators, there were no signs of impairment from the Honda driver. However, witnesses reported that friends of Parsons had attempted to take his keys due to concerns about his impairment prior to the crash.

The investigation continues as authorities look into potential factors that may have contributed to the accident, including whether the Honda driver failed to yield the right of way and if Parsons’ speed impacted the driver’s ability to see him.

No additional information about the incident is available at this time. Witnesses or anyone with further details are encouraged to contact authorities.
