Two Motorcyclists Killed in Separate Crashes in Denver on Tuesday Night

Two motorcyclists died, and two others were injured in two separate crashes in Denver on Tuesday night, according to police reports.

At approximately 10:12 p.m., officers responded to a fatal crash on southbound Interstate 25 at Sixth Avenue in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The collision, which involved a motorcyclist rear-ending a vehicle that was slowing for a disabled car, resulted in the death of the operator at the scene. Additionally, two others sustained injuries—one passenger was hospitalized with serious injuries, while the driver of the struck vehicle was treated for minor injuries. Southbound I-25 was closed at Eighth Avenue for approximately three hours and reopened at 1:10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Earlier, around 8:45 p.m., another crash occurred in the Cheesman Park area near East 13th Avenue and Race Street. The motorcyclist involved died from injuries sustained in the incident. Authorities suspect the other driver may have been operating their vehicle carelessly, but charges have not yet been filed, and their identity remains undisclosed.

The Denver Office of the Medical Examiner will release the identities of the deceased victims.
