MADISONVILLE, Ohio (WKRC) — One person was critically injured in a crash involving a school bus on Tuesday at the intersection of Red Bank and Duck Creek.
A car collided with the rear of the bus, prompting an emergency response from Cincy Fire & EMS. “We rescued one person from the passenger car who was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries,” the department shared in a social media post.
A photo from the scene shows the vehicle partially lodged under the bus. According to authorities, deputies were pursuing the vehicle on Interstate 71 shortly before the crash. The driver is believed to be in his 20s.
As of Wednesday evening, the driver's condition remains unknown. Authorities confirmed that no other injuries were reported in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
