6th Avenue Freeway Reopens After Four-Vehicle Crash

The 6th Avenue freeway reopened Tuesday afternoon after a four-vehicle crash closed both eastbound and westbound lanes, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

All lanes were cleared by 5 p.m. following the incident, which had initially blocked all eastbound and two westbound lanes. The crash involved a 26-foot box truck, but no serious injuries were reported, said Denver Police Department spokesperson Katherine McCandless.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Images from the scene indicated that the truck had collided with the concrete median, leaving large pieces of debris scattered across the roadway.

Authorities are currently assessing the situation and conducting inquiries to determine the accident’s cause.
