Lede: A driver was seriously injured in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 35E near Eagan on Friday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident occurred before 4:41 p.m. as four vehicles traveled northbound on the highway. An International MV607 collided with a Ford Escape, pushing it onto the right shoulder. The International subsequently struck a Chevrolet C10, which was forced into a Ford F-150.
The driver of the Ford Escape, a 54-year-old woman from South St. Paul, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Regions Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Chevrolet C10, a 50-year-old man from Robert, Wisconsin, also suffered injuries; however, they are not life-threatening.
No additional injuries were reported. Emergency services assisted at the scene, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
