Eyota, MN. – A woman was injured in a three-vehicle collision near Eyota on Wednesday evening.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 42 near 30th Street Southeast at around 5 p.m.
A 2016 Ford Explorer was waiting to turn east at the intersection when it collided with a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse and a 2012 Ford Fusion that were also traveling south on the highway.
The 24-year-old woman driving the Traverse was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Mayo Clinic Hospital-Saint Marys.
The drivers of the Explorer and the Fusion were unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Eyota Volunteer Fire Department and Eyota Volunteer Ambulance Service responded to the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
